Mac and Cheese Fest Houston: An All-You-Can-Eat Comfort Food Feast

Macaroni and cheese is the ultimate comfort food, whether it comes from a box or you craft it from scratch in your kitchen. But every version of the gooey dish served up at Mac and Cheese Fest Houston falls into the latter category. The exact methods that chefs use to craft it from scratch, however, varies from one local eatery to the next.

More than 20 Houston eateries will be dishing out two-ounce samples of their signature mac and cheese dishes, and when you pay $50 for a general admission ticket, you're invited to eat as many bites as you can handle. For those who are over 21, the ticket also includes five drink tickets to be exchanged for locally brewed beers and other beverages provided by Houston vendors. More Than 25 Top-Notch Barbecue Chefs Will Show Up for the 5th Annual Houston Barbecue Festival

Chances are you recognize the names because these are some of the biggest names in barbecue anywhere in the area—and in Houston, that's saying something.

So far, approximately 25 barbecue chefs have signed up to bring their sweet-spicy brisket and tender slow-smoked chicken to the barbecue festival, and even more are expected to actually be there on the day of the event.
