One of the tri-state area’s most successful chefs, Prasad Chirnomuola has opened literally dozens of restaurants since he came to the United States in 1984. With culinary training from the School of Culinary Arts in Poona, he brings an incredible mastery of spices and flavors to the table. Located in an old bank on Main Street, the New Canaan outpost was the first one and quickly brought the joys of gourmet Indian food to the masses. Experience the flavors of Indian cuisine with a visit to Thali in New Canaan. This high-end Indian restaurant serves fresh, authentically spiced dishes, many of which are based on the chef's family recipes.

Try, for example, the andhra chicken, served in a unique poppy seed, clove, and cardamom sauce, or go for the unique coconut saag lamb, which combines tender lamb with roasted coconut, red chilies, and a creamed spinach sauce.
