Fin II: Japanese Cuisine With A Smile

October 9, 2013 12:23 pm

With many Japanese restaurants in Stamford, Fin II stands out for its friendly customer service.   Their lunch special attracts a mid-day crowd.  For $8 you get soup or salad, rice, a California roll, shrimp spring roll and entree of your choice – try the salmon teriyaki, which is always perfectly cooked.  The “movie” box is the dinner sized version and comes with two entree meats.  Fin II’s sushi bar offers standard sushi and maki rolls; the lovely couple roll with shrimp tempura inside and spicy tuna on top is a customer favorite.  If you prefer a simpler meal, order a salad with the house-made ginger dressing and the filet mignon dinner portion, with shitake mushrooms, asparagus and zucchini in a light teriyaki garlic sauce. The full bar shakes up Asian inspired cocktails and offers several sakes at reasonable prices – Fin II’s signature.
