October 14, 2016 | greystar
You've probably heard of "wine country," but never really associated the term with anywhere other than the Napa Valley region or Italian countryside. But whether you realize it or not, as a resident of the Atlanta area, you're also a resident of Georgia's own wine country. Sign up for the North Georgia Wine Tour on Saturday, November 19th to experience everything that it has to offer.
The day-long trip takes you from Atlanta up to North Georgia for tastings of various vinos throughout the state. Start at Cavender Creek Vineyards and Winery, a small, family-owned winery that's only been growing grapes for six years. Despite its short life span, the winery crafts some of the best pours around. At Montaluce Winery and Restaurant, drink in the beautiful 25,000-square-foot space, which grants breathtaking views of the vineyards and mountains outside. The day ends at Wolf Mountain Vineyards and Winery, holder of more than 150 medals for its stellar wines.
