Step Back in Time at the Georgia Renaissance Festival

If you never thought you'd have the chance to tear fresh turkey meat right from the bone or witness coin-minting in person, then you'll be happy to hear that the Georgia Renaissance Festival is coming back to Fairburn this year—and both of these activities are on the itinerary. In fact, they're just two of a whole slew of medieval-themed events unfolding at the fest every Saturday and Sunday (plus Memorial Day) from April 15th to June 4th.
Tickets start at just $8, which is an extremely reasonable price to pay to be transported to another century. As soon as you step onto the grounds of the Georgia Renaissance Festival, just a few miles from the Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport on Virlyn B. Smith Road, you'll feel as though you've actually stepped back in time. Nearby, knights joust and duel. Entertainers swallow swords whole. Minstrels sing, and Renaissance chefs deliver hot, hearty fare. There's even a 32-acre expanse dedicated solely to artisans selling their handcrafted period pieces. You don't want to miss this unique event!
