Enjoy Local Nature at the Flying Colors Butterfly Festival

June 2, 2017 | greystar

On June 3rd and 4th, the Chattahoochee Nature Center invites you to come and be among beautiful winged creatures as the Flying Colors Butterfly Festival unfolds. For just $12 per person ($8 for Nature Center members), you can witness the live butterfly releases that happen twice daily on the 3rd and the 4th.

In addition to the live releases, the nature center also offers a Butterfly Encounter that entails you meandering through a stunning exhibit rife with greenery and hundreds of colorful butterflies. Stop at the plant sale, too, to take home some plants that will actually attract butterflies to your outdoor spaces. As you enjoy the nature-themed fun, kids can also do crafts, have their faces painted, enjoy live music, and more. There will be food trucks on hand and drinks available for purchase too at the Flying Colors Butterfly Festival.
