Celebrate the Culinary Culture of the South at the Taste of Soul Atlanta

September 1, 2017 | greystar

Soul food isn't just comfort food—it symbolizes something bigger. After all, it was the food that fueled the Civil Rights Movement. Vine City was Martin Luther King, Jr.'s hometown; it was here that he and his cohorts discussed the importance of equality over soul food. So it's only right that the Taste of Soul Atlanta unfolds in Vine City, a nod to MLK and a celebration of the culinary traditions of the South.

Come out to the festival from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday, September 2nd and dive into your Labor Day weekend with the classic Southern cuisine, live music by nationally known headliners, and locally sourced art. Soulful singers Frenchie Davis and Ricco Barino headline the main stage this year, joined by many up-and-coming artists. Between sets, check out dishes crafted by some of the city's best chefs, who specialize in soulful fare. Also, take some time to explore the eclectic art exhibits. Admission is free, so don't miss it!
