Beer and cheese create a pair that makes perfect culinary sense, which is precisely why the Atlanta Grilled Cheese Festival exists. Its chefs provide the gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches while Atlanta-area breweries dole out craft beers that enhance the flavors of the food. The food vendors make it easy to taste a few different sammies, too, by offering sandwiches by the quarter.

So for lovers of beer and cheese (or one or the other) the Atlanta Grilled Cheese Festival really can't be missed. It's coming to the O4w Skatepark along the Atlanta Beltline on Saturday, October 7th. So far, the local eateries slated to attend include The Highlander, Bantam, and Three Sheets. Snag a grilled cheese from any of them or one of the other vendors and take it with you to the beer garden, where those artisan suds await, or enjoy some live music. After sampling a few sandwiches, vote for your favorite—it might just win the title of Best Grilled Cheese in Atlanta. Tickets to the Atlanta Grilled Cheese Festival are $16.
