Help Protect Local Pups at the Paws for Life Run/Walk
May 3, 2017 | greystar
Paws for Life does what larger animal shelters can't. Its founder Ginny Suarez—who served on the Board of Directors at the local S.P.C.A. for nearly two decades—trains her team to recognize sweet dogs at the S.P.C.A. who would flourish as part of a loving family. If one of these pups is scheduled to be put down, Paws for Life swoops in and saves them. They get the critters all caught up on any necessary shots or procedures, then place them in forever homes.
In order to continue their efforts, Paws for Life regularly raises funds. The Paws for Life Run/Walk is just one way they do this. Sign up to run or walk the 5K or two-miler on Saturday, May 6th, preferably with your pup by your side. Your $25 registration fee helps keep Paws for Life up and running, ensuring that more local dogs end up with the families they deserve. Registration begins at 8 a.m., the 5K starts at 9:30 a.m., and the Fun Walk is slated for 9:45 a.m.
