You may not know it, but Wilmington, Delaware was actually Bob Marley's first home in the U.S. In order to celebrate the impression that he made on the music scene across the country and the world, Bob Marley's stateside hometown hosts The People's Festival every year.
This summer, come to Tubman Garrett Park on Saturday, July 29th to be part of the music festival. The gates open at 1 p.m. and the music starts at 2, so you have some time to find a comfy spot before performers take to the stage. This year's line-up includes The Wailers, Tanya Stephens, and Jo Mersa Marley—the grandson of Bob Marley. They all bring the smooth, upbeat reggae that made Bob Marley famous. General admission tickets start at $28 apiece.
