Sink Your Teeth Into a Liege Waffle at Waffle’n Joe
March 27, 2018 | greystar
Liege waffles are a far cry from your standard Eggo. Plump pearls of sugar distinguish this style of the Belgian waffle. They burst in your mouth with every bite. When Waffle'n Joe opened in January, it brought the Liege waffle to Elkton—but not any specific spot in Elkton. Since Waffle'n Joe is on wheels, the food truck introduces the city to the Liege waffle one neighborhood at a time.
See where Waffle'n Joe is parked today and head there to try the Liege waffle. You can order yours plain or topped with fresh seasonal fruit, locally crafted vanilla ice cream, or bananas foster on top. Other extras range from Nutella and Belgian chocolate to peanut butter and cookie butter. But regardless of how you deck out your waffle, there's only one way to wash it down: with a cup of truck-roasted coffee. Waffle'n Joe showcases three specialty coffees each day from different regions in the world and roasts them in-house in order to bring out the best flavors.
