Celebrate Nature at the Mount Harmon Earth Day 5K Cross Country Run/Walk on April 21

April 2, 2018 | greystar

Mount Harmon used to be a thriving tobacco plantation back in the 17th and 18th centuries, then a stunning family home. Today, it's a living museum where guests step back into local history. Every April, its sprawling grounds begin to bloom. That's when the plantation hosts the Mount Harmon Earth Day 5K Cross Country Run/Walk.

This year, the Earth Day 5K falls on Saturday, April 21st. Register for the run ($20+) and you'll get to explore the beautiful grounds of Mount Harmon as you jog alongside friends. After you cross the finish line, stick around to check out the rest of the plantation. You can take a tour of the manor house and colonial kitchen, venture into the formal gardens, or just enjoy a few refreshments and some sunshine.
