Every Memorial Day, the community of Elkton gathers to honor the men and women who've laid down their lives in the name of their country. Crowds line up along the streets for the Downtown Elkton Memorial Day Parade, an annual tradition in the city of Elkton.

Find a good spot along the parade route before it kicks off at 10 a.m. if you want unobstructed views of the action. The parade begins at Bow Street before winding down Railroad Avenue, turning onto North Street, moving down Main Street, and then heading to Howard Street. Post up on the sidewalks of any of these roads and watch members of local organizations and performance groups pay tribute to fallen soldiers.
