Nestled just beyond the fringes of Elkton in the neighboring town of North East, Elk Neck State Park encompasses more than 2,000 acres of untamed forests, marshlands, cliffs, and sandy beaches. It takes up part of the Cecil County peninsula that juts out into the Chesapeake Bay, bordered by the Elk River on the other side. You can always come here to go hiking, boating, or camping, but on Saturday, April 22nd, a special event comes to Elk Neck State Park: Eagle Watch.
From 9 to 11 a.m., adventurers will celebrate Earth Day by exploring the park in search of this winged creature, led by a park ranger. It's just $10 to be part of the fun, which includes a presentation from a Scales and Tales program ambassador, as well as a cruise out on the water, courtesy of NorthBay Education. Call now to reserve your ticket for Eagle Watch.
