Owned by husband and wife team James Nicholas and Anna Weinberg, Marlowe is a captivating American brasserie located on the edge of Mission Bay and South Park.

Marlowe trades in throwback California cool, with white tile, stainless steel, and butcher-shop aesthetics. It’s the sort of place where a hardboiled detective would feel at home. The menu is in keeping with the atmosphere, with classic cocktails complimenting old-school steakhouse entrees like angus ribeye with fingerling potatoes or a grilled pork chop with a mustard sauce. If you’re just stopping by for lunch or a few small bites to pair with drinks, the bar menu is tough to beat. A few standout dishes are the warm deviled eggs, the roasted bone marrow, and the crispy brussels sprout chips.
