Make Holy Water Your New Watering Hole

August 22, 2018 | sack

Dark and inviting ambiance meets high-class mixology at Holy Water. This popular bar in the Bernal Heights neighborhood has an unexpected take on their cocktails, and each one offers a serious punch.

About a dozen different cocktails are offered each night, none of which resemble the old bar standbys. After the Gold Rush, for example, mixes bourbon, apricot brandy, and pineapple gum for a fruity but not too sweet kick. Holy Water also offers a variety of light, dark, and Belgian beers, as well as the fan-favorite Cellarmaker on tap. Add to their high-end drinks the friendly and attentive service, beautiful interior, and reasonable prices (all cocktails are just $10), and you’ve got a place bound to be a neighborhood fixture for years to come.

Holy Water is located between Bocana and Bennington Street on Cortland Avenue. They are open from 4 p.m. to 2 a.m. daily, and offer a happy hour until 7 p.m. each night.
