Located in the heart of North Beach, Sotto Mare Oysteria & Seafood is a neighborhood staple with nautical decor and a menu of pasta, Boston clam chowder served in bread bowls, and other Italian-style seafood. Starters include crab, prawns, or bay shrimp cocktails, cracked crab, or a regular salad including a huge wedge of iceberg surrounded by tomatoes and topped with blue cheese. The eatery is well-loved for the cioppino, which comes in a big, stainless steel bowl brimming with clams, mussels, shrimp, tiny scallops, and loads of crab.
