Did you know that Oyster Bay is home to the East Coast’s largest waterfront festival, and the festival is just 15 miles from Jefferson at Farmindgale Plaza? Make plans to check out The Oyster Festival, the area’s premier event that has occurred every year for more than three decades. This year, the festival returns on October 15 and runs through October 16, showcasing the same great activities of past years at the Theodore Roosevelt Park. The festival promises oyster shucking and eating contests, parades, live entertainment, shopping, carnival rides, and more.
Admission to the festival is free, and all activities and food are available on a pay-as-you-go basis. The festival runs from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday and will go on rain or shine. The Oyster Festival is a can’t-miss event that is truly unique to your area, so be sure to check it out this fall!
