Start Your New Year with the Stump Pond Circular “Chocolate” Hike
December 20, 2016 | greystar
Perhaps you intend to ring in the new year with a glass of champagne at a party or bar, but before you celebrate with friends, take some time to commune with Mother Nature. Go on the Stump Pond Circular "Chocolate" Hike and reflect on a year's worth of adventures.
The hike begins at 1 p.m. on Saturday, December 31st, so you'll have plenty of time afterwards to get ready for your night out. The hike circles the 120-acre pond that sits in the heart of Blydenburgh County Park, approximately 5.7 miles of terrain that can be slightly challenging at times. You're encouraged to bring along water and snacks, but a chocolate treat will be provided on one of the breaks during the hike. Participants should gather at the south entrance of the park to kick off this fun event.
