Watch Vintage Aircrafts Take Flight at the American Air Power Museum

July 11, 2017 | greystar

More than six decades ago, the building that now serves as the American Air Power Museum was still a working airplane factory. It housed Republic Aviation, which created more than 9,000 P-47 Thunderbolts in its lifetime. The building no longer churns out aircraft, but it does play host to a wide array of vintage planes from World War II. And since they're all operational, they still embark on flights to show guests what they're made of.

Pilots turn back time whenever they take flight in an aircraft from this era. The museum is home to fighter jets like the Albatros and even a Curtiss P-40 Warhawk. Come and watch an air show in which these crafts fly high in the sky, or explore them on the ground during regular museum hours.
