Go on a Romantic Date at Charlotte’s Speakeasy

Back during the Prohibition era, going to happy hour was a covert operation. Since imbibing was outlawed, revelers were forced underground into secret lounges known as speakeasies, which could easily be discovered and shut down at a moment's notice. Charlotte's Speakeasy, which just debuted in November, recreates the glamour and intrigue of these clandestine clubs.
Customers say that when you step across the threshold into Charlotte's Speakeasy, you actually step back in time. The bar evokes the 1920s flapper era with its mix of ornate chandeliers and Edison-bulb light fixtures emitting a soft glow, exposed brick walls, and ornate tin ceiling. The creative cocktails add to the experience. Try the 1920s Mule, a mix of Knob Creek Bourbon, ginger beer, angostura bitters, and fresh lime or the Capone with Ketel One Vodka, Martini & Rossi Dry Vermouth, and olives. Complement your cocktail with small bites like chicken wings, sliders, or a grilled veggie plate, or a scoop of ice cream from the long list of artisan options.
