When you want to enjoy the great outdoors, Bethpage State Park promises many different ways to do it. One of the biggest draws of the park is probably its sprawling golf course, which has hosted the likes of Tiger Woods at the U.S. Open and novice golfers every weekend. Come to swing your way across the course, which offers relatively easy shots for newer athletes.

You can also stop by on a Sunday to watch a game unfold on the polo field, if you prefer the station of spectator as opposed to the athlete. Or round up a group of friends and start a game on the volleyball or basketball court, kick a ball around on the soccer field, or take to the trails and enjoy a sunny hike. With a large playground and plenty of tables, you can spend all day at Bethpage State Park even with a few energetic kids in tow.
