They’ve got authentic Vietnamese cuisine, including that delectable soup, Pho, that’s a melding of meat, noodles, veggies and herb-infused broth. Enjoy a big bowlful for lunch or dinner – it’s reputed to have miraculous healing properties. They also have a nice array of rice and noodle plates, including Bun Ga Nuong – vermicelli with charbroiled chicken, Bun Tom Nuong – vermicelli with charbroiled shrimp, and Com Bi Suong Nong – steamed rice with shredded pork and crispy pork skin. Speedy service, reasonable prices and tasty food make this a winner, whether you stop by for lunch or dinner.

Once you eat at Red Oak Grill, you'll understand why it has such a loyal following among Katy locals, many of whom make a ritual out of a weekly family meal at the restaurant. Relax in one of the deep booths or enjoy the sunshine at a table next to the floor-to-ceiling windows. Wherever you sit, you'll find lots of American classics on the menu, like burgers and fries or grilled catfish filets with house-made tartar sauce and a baked potato. But you'll also find a number of Mediterranean-style dishes, which are some of the restaurant's specialties. Try the beef or lamb kabobs for a Mediterranean version of barbecue, and be sure to taste the creamy, mildly spiced hummus spread served with pita bread.

Red Oak Grill is a popular breakfast spot, so consider heading over on a Saturday morning for a leisurely plate of French toast with fresh fruit or flaky biscuits topped with a dollop of creamy sausage gravy.

When you walk in the door, you’ll immediately notice the incredibly well-apportioned interior of the place. Deep red and gold walls and an uptown vibe lend it an air of class that most area sushi places can’t match. The staff is equally top-notch, with affable waiters happy to explain menu items and make recommendations. Their sake selection is well-composed, and their signature cocktails are awesome – try the dragonfruit martini. The menu is extensive, but some favorite picks include the Hot Mamma roll made with soft shell crab, cream cheese, shrimp, spicy tuna and eel sauce, as well as the Lobster Kiwi that blends succulent shellfish with kiwi fruit and avocado.

Beijing Ranch’s regular menu includes hot soups and favorite appetizers like steamed dumplings and egg rolls, as well as rice and noodle bowls with savory seasoned sauces. Meat and tofu dishes like General Tso’s chicken, Kung Pao shrimp, and many others come with vegetables and an optional rice side. The dining room is small, but Beijing Ranch offers takeout on all of its menu items for those who prefer to take their food to go.

This popular Katy eatery serves up a diverse array of tasty Thai dishes, ranging from the mild, sweet massamun chicken curry made with coconut milk to the spicy pad kee mao, which features flat rice noodles topped with meat and a jalapeno, chili, bamboo, basil, and tomato sauce.

Yelp reviewers recommend that you save room for dessert, however, because the mango sticky rice is a refreshing medley of fresh fruit and sweetened rice.
