No Label Brewing: Microbrewery in Katy

No Label Brewing is full of amazing beers. Stop by on Saturdays from noon to 3 p.m. for beer tastings of the latest brews. Admission is just $5 for four free drink tokens. Feel free to bring your own food and non-alcoholic beverages. Food vendors are usually available. Try microbrews like the Pale Horse, Ridgeback, 1st Street Ale, or seasonal brews like Black Wit-O and Jalapeno Ale. Bring your own chairs to sit on the grounds outside and take in the sunshine. A big tree provides some shade but you can also bring an umbrella or tent. Feel free to bring your dog and enjoy listening to some music. Remember to bring cash!

Katy Library: For the Love of Books

Katy Library doesn’t look bad for a time machine. Part of the Harris County Library system since 1921, the current building has transported locals to other worlds since 1940.

From fiction to history, romance, how-to, and multimedia, the library has the latest bestsellers, last year’s favorites, and everything you need to do your homework or lose yourself on a Sunday afternoon. Know what you want? The helpful staff will find it for you. Want a surprise? Tell them what you like or just wander the stacks and find adventure. Special services include computer classes, computer lab, and proctoring of distance learning exams. Free Wi-Fi is available.
