Hyena’s Comedy Club Is A Nearby Spot For Major Laughs

You can treat yourself to a fun night out while barely leaving the Lofts at Mockingbird Station. Hyena’s Comedy Club is only 335 feet from home and regularly hosts terrific comedians.
The club is open Wednesday through Saturday nights with plenty of laughs all around. On Wednesdays, Hyena’s hosts an open-mic night from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. for amateurs looking to show off their talent. Those hoping to save some money should plan to visit Heyna’s Comedy Club on Thursday evenings when the nightclub offers free (yes, free!) shows.
On Friday and Saturday nights, the week’s headliners take the stage for ticketed shows. Comedians who are set to perform throughout February and March include Steven Michael Quezada from "Breaking Bad;" Billy D. Washington, who has appeared on Comedy Central; and Shane Mauss, who performed on "Conan O’Brien."
