Landy’s Seafood: Taste, Laugh, Live in Katy

Since the first Landry's Seafood opened its doors in 1947, this legendary restaurant has specialized in Gulf Coast cuisine and hospitality. In fact, it's easy to see why the restaurant's catchphrase is "taste, laugh, live" because the Landry's staff strives to make each meal an experience to remember.

The Katy location holds true to this ideal. As you head inside you'll pass underneath the "taste, laugh, live" slogan on the marquee-style sign over the door, and quickly be seated at your table. You might start your meal with firecracker shrimp, which are tempura-fried and then glazed with a creamy sweet chili sauce. For an entree, consider one of the restaurant's signature dishes, like grilled flounder stuffed with crab and crawfish in a chive-lemon butter sauce, or go for the basil crusted tilapia topped with shrimp caprese.

Whatever you order you can be sure it will be expertly prepared in the kitchen and then served with care by the attentive and friendly staff.

Ephesus Mediterranean Grill: Turkish Food in Katy

Ephesus Mediterranean Grill is a Turkish restaurant in Katy serving fresh and flavorful dishes. While Mexican food is plentiful in the area, fewer eateries delve into the rich and invigorating food of other Latin American cuisines, so this place is always packed with interested eaters. Some of the best appetizers on the menu include the empanadas, tasty fried pastry pockets made from cornmeal dough and stuffed with a variety of delicious fillings. Spring Creek Barbeque: Slow Cooked

Texas is well-known for its barbecue, and one of the top-notch places to get transcendently good slow-cooked meat in Katy is Spring Creek Barbecue. The smoked pork ribs here are out of this world – they’re tender enough to fall off the bone but the outside is perfectly crispy and delectable. Their sauces are also great, packing tons of flavor. Other prime meats include the beef brisket – get it on a sandwich with plenty of sauce and you’ll be satisfied all day. Their sides are also great, with all you can eat vegetables giving you a little healthy factor for your meal. Sunday is the prime day to visit, as before three in the afternoon you can get a free scoop of ice cream for dessert. They also have a fresh cobbler station if you have a real sweet tooth!

Texas Roadhouse: Katy Steaks

Roadhouse-style cooking is a Texas trademark, and if you haven’t experienced it you’re really missing out. Roadhouses are open restaurants with big tables, wood floors and delicious steak, barbecue, and other favorites. Walk in the door and you’ll be greeted by a complimentary bowl of peanuts to shell while you’re waiting for your order to come out of the kitchen.

The menu offers standards and everything on it is executed well. Start off with the delicious fried pickles, which win raves from regulars. For entrees, you can’t go wrong with their hand-cut steaks, especially the well-marbled Fort Worth ribeye. Their tender, fall-off-the-bone ribs also win raves, as do the sirloin tips in mushroom gravy. They also have a VIP club that you can sign up for to get a free appetizer.
