Have You Visited These Bizarre U.S. Roadside Attractions?

You consider yourself an experienced road tripper, and you always stop to see the sights along your route. While you may have visited the Grand Canyon and the Golden Gate Bridge, there are quite a few weird and wonderful roadside attractions in the U.S. that you probably haven’t discovered. Here are two:

World’s Largest Ball of Twine
Sure, a large ball of twine seems pretty straightforward, but seeing this monstrous tangle of heavy-duty string in person just might leave you speechless. This Cawker City, Kansas, attraction took a whole four years to create—and likely a lot of rope burn!

The Fremont Troll
If this attraction sounds creepy, well, that’s because it is. The Fremont Troll is a large stone troll sculpture located in Seattle’s oddball Fremont neighborhood, and although it is a silly attraction, it is based on the town’s much more sinister urban legends. The best time to visit is around Halloween, when the Fremont Arts Council hosts its annual Troll-a-ween festival.
