Whether it’s a concert Downtown you’re looking for or fireworks on a boardwalk we’ve got you covered for the countdown to 2016 with our picks of family New Year’s Eve celebrations in Houston.

6 Family-Friendly New Year Eve Celebrations

  • Rockin’ New Year’s Noon Bash at the Children’s Museum of Houston – Countdown to noon at this kid-focused NYE bash, with an indoor parade and a shimmering ball drop. Included with museum admission. 10am to noon.
  • New Year’s Eve Historical Bash at George Ranch Historical Park – Have a very old school new year’s with crafts, Scottish traditions and more. $10; $5 ages 5 to 15. Noon to 5pm.
  • New Year’s Eve Houston hosted by the Theater District | FREE – Jam to music from The Tontons and The B-52’s and enjoy special performances from the Theater District during this family-friendly celebration that closes out the evening with a fireworks show. Expect plenty of food, music, and fun packed into the night. 7pm to 12:30am.
  • New Year’s Eve at CityCentre | FREE – Enjoy a live DJ in the CityCentre plaza and a spectacular fireworks show as the clock strikes midnight. The event is free to attend and will be ending at 12:30am. 7pm.
  • New Year’s Eve Family Celebration at Kemah Boardwalk – Head to the coast with the whole family to ring in the New Year with live music in the plaza, a dinner cruise (reservations required) and fireworks at Kemah Boardwalk. 8pm.
  • New Year’s Eve at Top Golf Katy and Top Golf Webster – Get competitive or play for fun all night at one of Top Golf’s heated bays with options to order from their full food and drink menu during the driving range/event center’s NYE party. Expect a live DJ spinning the hottest tracks of 2015, specialty cocktails, and plenty of party favors. Tickets start at $10. 9pm to 2am.
