What: Big Brothers Big Sisters(BBBS) annual black tie gala, "Gen Z: Vision for the Future."

Where: The Omni Houston Hotel.

The scoop: A number of the "Bigs" brought along their "Littles" to enjoy the evening that raised $300,000 for the program that matches children facing adversity with a positive mentor. The goal is to enrich the youngsters' lives and encourging them to reach their highest potential through educational motivation, fun adventures, and a safe and stable relationship.

Sarah Bolka chaired the evening that honored Mike Feinberg, co-founder of the KIPP Foundation. KPRC Channel 2 news anchor Rachel McNeill served as emcee of the program that included remarks by BBBS Lone Star CEO Pierce Bush.
