Miller Outdoor Theatre: Culture Under the Stars

Spend some time outdoors at the Miller Outdoor Theatre in Houston’s Hermann Park. In operation over 90 years, the theatre hosts a wide variety of concerts, plays, and performances, all of which are free. For some events — and to choose covered seating — you'll have to plan in advance; for others, you can show up and spread a blanket on a grassy hill overlooking the stage. You can even bring a picnic dinner to enjoy while you hear the concert! (There's a concession stand, too, in case you'd prefer to buy food on-site.)
