October 15, 2015 | greystar
Lace up for a 5k run/walk, participate in a 90-minute yoga class and then be guided through meditation during Wanderlust 108 Houston at Buffalo Bayou Park on Saturday, November 7, 2015.
Calm your mind, push your body and connect with others during this triathlon-style event at The Water Works at Buffalo Bayou Park.
Wanderlust 108 is a “mindful triathlon” comprised of a 5k run/walk, 90-minute yoga class (don’t forget to bring your mat) and 30 minute guided meditation with music, activities and vendors throughout the event.
Start with a noncompetitive 5k that begins and ends at Buffalo Bayou Park and then stretch it out during a yoga/dance party set to music from DJ Taz Rashid. Roll out your mat for more yoga with Brook Cheatham and wind down during a 30-minute guided meditation with Keith Mitchell. Take advantage of a foam rolling session from 1pm to 2pm.
Guests will enjoy live music from DJs and musical groups throughout the event.
Stick around for activities like hooping, acroyoga, slacklining and games on the lawn. Local food trucks will be serving fresh and healthy fare, and vendors will be set up with everything from accessories to athletic equipment and apparel for your shopping pleasure.
Wanderlust 108 will take place rain or shine.
