Art on the Avenue, voted Best in Virginia by Virginia Living Magazine, is a must-visit, one-day festival that combines art, music, food, and local culture. Celebrating the diversity of the Del Ray neighborhood, Art on the Avenue is held on Mt. Vernon Avenue between Bellefonte and Hume, and features over 300 different artists, all selling their works. Jewelry, pottery, woodcrafts, blown glass sculptures, clothing, soaps, paintings, and more will all be on display. Local musicians performing a wide variety of genres will be in attendance as well, including rock and roll bands, country singers, and others. And like any good fall festival, there will be tons of delicious food, including crab cakes, barbecue, and homemade cider doughnuts.

Art on the Avenue is happening today, just 15 minutes away from The Shelby by car and 45 minutes by Metro, the recommended mode of transportation. There will be free shuttle buses from the Metro stop to the festival.
