There are tons of perks to living in the city. You're never more than a few blocks from a cool restaurant or bar, you have easy access to museums and other cultural activities, and there's always a new band or show to see. But there is one downside: it can be hard to find fresh, affordable produce without leaving the city. Capital Harvest on the Plaza Farmers' Market seeks to solve this problem.
Now in its ninth year, Capital Harvest continues to live up to its name, bringing the freshest harvest from surrounding regions to the nation's capital. Every Friday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. through November 10th, the farmers' market draws local farmers, artisans, and other purveyors to the Woodrow Wilson Plaza. Fruits and veggies, herbs and spices, sauces and olive oils, and even coffees and teas are all available at this fresh-air market, so come prepared to shop.
