Art on Tap Presents Fine Art, Craft Beer, and Gourmet Bites on November 3rd
November 2, 2017 | greystar
You might not expect to see doughnuts from Sugar Shack and pints from Port City Brewing Company at an art show, but that's exactly what makes Art on Tap so unique. It's not just a celebration of visual art; it also honors edible and drinkable art.
The Art League designs the event, starting with original works by local artists. An Art League instructor pairs each masterpiece with a craft beer from local breweries like Starr Hill Brewery, Forge Brew Works, and Heroic Aleworks. Then they assign the pairing to a chef from Alexandria-area eateries such as Virtue Feed & Grain, Vola's Dockside Grill, and Paradiso Pizzeria. The chef crafts an appetizer that complements both the masterpiece and the pour. Then, when you come to Art on Tap on November 3rd at 7 p.m., you get to enjoy the sip, bite, and work of art simultaneously. Guests must be 21 or older, and tickets start at $35.
