Since Noodle Box opened in Old Town in April, local eaters have quickly come to know it as one of their favorite affordable options in the neighborhood. Its simple, yet welcoming space invites families, couples, and groups of friends to sit down for a quick and casual meal of contemporary Asian fare.

The menu showcases two main categories: noodle dishes and rice dishes. Nibble on the popular deep-fried chive dumplings while you mull over your options. If you opt for a rice "box," try the spicy basil chicken. It's built on a bed of jasmine rice, a medley of bell peppers, basil leaf, green beans, and minced chicken all crowned with a single fried egg. The glass noodle pad Thai offers a modern twist on a classic dish when you're craving noodles instead. The thin glass noodles soak up a surprising amount of flavor, serving as the perfect complement to a mix of sprouts, red tofu, sweet radish, green onion, crushed peanuts, and your choice of meat.
