On Saturday, October 22nd, the Carlyle House Historic Park is home to a very special event: a whiskey tasting that will take place inside the historic mansion. Stop by from 7 to 9 p.m. to sip fine Virginia whiskeys while feasting on fall-inspired hors d'oeuvres and even some whiskey-flavored ice cream. Tickets for the tasting are $50 per person and are available online, so be sure to purchase your tickets soon.

In addition to food and drinks, guests of the party can tour the home’s marquee exhibition (Who These Wounded Are: The Extraordinary Stories of the Mansion House Hospital) and listen to stories about the Civil War era in Virginia from Rich Gillespie, a local historian and the Executive Director of the Mosby Heritage Area Association.
