American Seafood: A Fresh and Delicious Choice for Seafood in Arlington

Known for its selection of fresh and prepared seafood, American Seafood is the perfect place for a casual lunch or dinner on the patio during the warmer months, or takes a fresh order to take home to prepare for yourself! Start off with a cold salad with gulf shrimp, steamed mussels, or poached calamari, all made to order. The soups and chowders feature standard fare such as lobster bisque and clam chowder, or try the grouper or red snapper chowders. For lunch, the sandwich selection is big, and many customers rave about the fried shrimp po-boy. The soft shell crab sandwich is also top notch, and don’t forget the blackened salmon, marlin, mahi-mahi, tuna, snapper, or swordfish options. Tasty platters of grouper, gulf shrimp or calamari can be prepared to eat in or take out. American Seafood also offers a delicious Key Lime pie!

Sea Pearl: The Ocean’s Treasure

When it comes to ambience, Fairfax’s Sea Pearl really pulls out all the stops to make itself look good. A sleek modern design is relaxing and enveloping, making you want to sit and linger. Thankfully, the food is good enough to back it up. Offering New American cuisine with a California touch, Sea Pearl is the brainchild of chef and owner Sly Liao, who is adamant about his seasonally-changing menu. As you might expect from the name, the real star here is the seafood, which dominates most of the entrees. In addition to the usual suspects, there are some unusual offerings on display for adventurous diners, such as grilled pacu ribs—this meaty fish is kissing cousins to the deadly piranha, but tastes spectacular. Locals also rave about the delicious grilled flatbreads and the remarkably good tilapia, not a fish that usually wins friends.
