Get a Sundae From The Olde San Francisco Creamery

January 7, 2014 | sack

Indulge in a sundae just a short trip from Town Center Apartments at The Olde San Francisco Creamery in Walnut Creek. This classic ice cream parlor has a reputation for generous portions of high quality ice cream. All their flavors are made on site, and some favorites include the Coffee Caramel Crunch and Mint Cookie.

Frequent customers recommend their signature sundaes, intended for sharing. Try the Candy Train Sundae with Rocky road, Cookies & Cream, and Mint Chocolate Chip scoops topped with chocolate syrup, marshmallow, M&Ms, and Reese's Peanut Butter Cups. The Creamery also has their own food challenge, the Kitchen Sink: 8 gigantic scoops, 8 toppings,  3 bananas, whipped cream, nuts and cherries. If you successfully down this doozy of a sundae in under 30 minutes, you'll win free ice cream for a year. Few actually attempt the challenge but the dish is perfect for a group of friends to share. Although most come for the ice cream, the Creamery does offer a small menu of sandwiches and burgers – try their Famous Crab Sandwich with a side of garlic fries.
