Walnut Creek’s Mixed Grain: Authentic Korean Cuisine

March 11, 2014 | sack

Mixed Grain offers a flavorful array of authentic Korean fare in a cozy, serene setting. One of this restaurant's signature items is bibimbop, a traditional dish with a medley of ingredients served on a bed of rice. Order it here and you'll get spinach, carrots, mushrooms, and bean sprouts over rice, topped with a fried egg, plus your selection of meat. The dolsot bibimbop includes the same ingredients served in a sizzling hot stone bowl, which cooks the rice to a nice, crispy consistency.

Mixed Grain's other dishes include a variety of stews and soups, including soft tofu stew, Korean miso stew, stuffed ginseng chicken stew, and rice cake soup. Other options include mung bean pancakes, rice rolls, and vegetarian rice Buns. Just a short trip from Town Center Apartments, Mixed Grain is open daily.
