Rocco’s Ristorante & Pizzeria: Walnut Creek Italian Cuisine

August 19, 2014 | sack

Rocco Biale learned to love great Italian cuisine at an early age. He comes from a family of restauteurs: his grandfather once operated a butcher shop in San Francisco, and other relatives established restaurants in spots including Waikiki. Lucky for residents of Walnut Creek, Rocco decided to bring his talents to the Bay Area. Today, Rocco's Ristorante & Pizzeria pays homage to a tradition of good food by serving classic Italian cuisine in a friendly ambiance.

The eatery may be known best for its pizzas (although it also serves pasta, sandwiches, and salads), and patrons highly recommend the signature Dominator pie. According to Rocco's menu, it's named for Rocco's own son and serves as the house specialty. This fully loaded pie comes topped with pepperoni, salami, ham, sausage, linguica, mushrooms, and onions, so it's not for the faint of heart or appetite.
