Heather Farm Park’s size and wealth of activities make it one of the most popular parks in Walnut Creek. Locals come here to take advantage of the swimming pool, dog park, lakes, walking paths, climbing wall, trails, playground and many other facilities. Residents appreciate the ample parking here. Boating enthusiasts can bring their wind- and electric-powdered vessels to the lakes. The gardens here are a popular venue for local weddings – celebrants can even reserve a reception hall with an outdoor patio and an outdoor bar area. The park gets a lot of sun and most find it warmer than average for the area.

Large flocks of geese call Heather Farm Park home, so you’ll have to watch out for their droppings. Heather Farm Park is open every day of the week from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. The dog park is open Mondays and Wednesdays through Fridays from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., Tuesdays from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m., and Saturdays, Sundays and holidays from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
