If you’re looking for a true burger classic, Walnut Creek locals have raved for years about the offerings from George’s Giant Hamburger. This place means what it says, with enormous patties straining even the most dedicated diner’s capacity. The burgers served up here are deliciously old-school, plucked sizzling from the grill and slapped on a bun. They don’t skimp on the toppings here – the bacon cheeseburger is piled high with strips of crispy bacon and many slices of gooey cheese. Grilled onions are also a must. There’s not a lot of variety on the menu here, and the French fries aren’t all that great, but burger lovers still flock to the door because the patties are just that good. The décor is a little run down, but most people get their burgers to go. Please note: George’s is a cash-only establishment, but there is an ATM across the street.
