Not quite a sit-down restaurant and not quite a take-out joint, Denica’s Real Food Kitchen in Walnut Creek asks customers to place their orders at the counter before seating themselves. The service here is reportedly very fast. Some customers say they barely have time to seat themselves before they receive their meals. Fans say that Denica’s offers generous portions and recommend such menu items as the Lucky Boy crepe, the eggs Milan and the chocolate croissant.
Lunchtime diners can enjoy sandwiches, like the grilled vegetarian sandwich or the French dip, salads, like the spring salad, and soups of the day. Denica’s offers a play area where parents can amuse their small children while they wait for their orders or finish their meals.
