Take a Nature Walk at the Lafayette Community Center

July 12, 2016 | sack

The Lafayette Community Center became part of the City of Lafayette after it was purchased by them in 1983. Formerly Burton Elementary School, the Community Center has 10 rooms, which are various-sized and used for a number of recreational purposes.
Though it was once a place of knowledge and growth 35 years ago, the Lafayette Community Center never lost that essence after being purchased by the city. This center now offers classes for all ages, which teach students about a vast range of topics relating to local wildlife and nature. The Lafayette Community Center also hosts special events, lectures, and meetings.
If you're looking for something to do on a lazy weekend afternoon, visit the Lafayette Community Center to take a nature walk through the lush, green trails. Traverse bridges, admire the area's plant life and even check out the native birds.
