Enjoy a Waffle Sandwich for Brunch at The Hideout Kitchen Cafe

The newest restaurant to Mt. Diablo Boulevard has mastered brunch, an impressive feat for its small square footage and humble patio. The Hideout Kitchen Cafe quickly became known for their honey fried chicken, a waffle sandwich with pieces of fried chicken in between each waffle layer, which arrives at the table with thick, savory gravy. This little hidden cafe’s charm has won over locals, who all hastily claim the title as regulars.
Guests love the wide variety of mimosa flavors and the eggs benedict, and they say the patio couldn’t be more perfect for soaking up a little sun while being waited on by incredibly friendly staff members. The Hideout sends warm sourdough bread out to each table to fill the wait time until dishes arrive, and guests say that the prices are very low for the quality and amount of food you receive.
The Hideout Kitchen Cafe closes after lunchtime to prepare for dinner hours, which range from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., depending on the day.
