The Lafayette Reservoir is a very popular local park, thanks to the beauty of its central lake and the many amenities it provides. You’ll find well-maintained restrooms, as well as numerous tables and benches for picnicking, relaxing, and simply enjoying the view.

Wildlife enthusiasts should be able to catch a glimpse of the park's many birds and small animals, while folks who prefer the water can rent rowboats and paddleboats to explore the reservoir itself. The park also offers more than 7 miles of trails, with different trails for different fitness levels. The main lakeside trail includes a few small hills, but requires only moderate effort according to regulars.
