As the old adage goes, breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and that’s certainly true at Walnut Creek’s Heavenly Bistro. The kitchen’s breakfast menu includes plenty of old stand-bys, like eggs, omelets, French toast and breakfast burritos. Regulars say that you can’t go wrong with any of those, but the real house specialties are the corned beef hash and the crab benedict.

Reservations aren’t accepted for breakfast, so you should either make sure to arrive early, or simply plan to enjoy chatting with your friends while you wait. Insider tip: it’s often easier to find a seat during lunchtime (don’t miss the deal on a salad, soup and sandwich), when you can choose from generous lunch specials and take advantage of the full bar.
