In case you’re wondering, ØL is Danish for “beer” and there’s plenty to choose from at ØL Beercafe & Bottle Shop, located on a quiet downtown street in Walnut Creek. There are 18 taps behind the bar, plus a six door cooler and another room with over 100 bottles that are priced to-go, or you can pay a corkage fee ranging between $1 to $5 to drink them on-site.

If you get hungry while you’re there, a small snack menu is available, which includes a rotating selection of artisan cheeses, Fatted Calf sausages, jerky, olives, and almonds. Locals appreciate the friendly staff who serve each beer in appropriate glassware and are knowledgeable, polite, and helpful with suggestions. They also won’t hesitate to offer you a sample if you’re torn between two options!

ØL Beercafe & Bottle Shop is open daily from noon until midnight.
