Vic Stewart’s: A Name You Can Trust

July 16, 2013 | sack

Let’s start with one of the most interesting things about Walnut Creek’s Vic Stewart's Steakhouse: you can make an actual 1930s train car your private booth. If you would like to dine in the car be sure to call in a reservation, as it’s a particularly popular spot. As for food, try the crab gratin appetizer and one of the delicious entrees that constitute Vic Stewart’s’ non-Pullman dining car claim to fame—the filet mignon and Vic’s Ribeye are particular favorites. If given the choice, most guests pick scalloped potatoes for their side, so be aware it’s a much loved choice and thus worth a try. The service is generally excellent, but the price can be a little high so those with less money to spend might want to consider Vic Stewart’s for a special occasion.
