Discover one of the top parks in the Bay Area and spend an afternoon at Tilden Regional Park in Berkeley. There's something for everyone including avid hikers, kids, swimmers, golfers, and anglers. Covering 2,079 acres, there are over 39 miles of well marked trails for hiking and biking. The trails meander through diverse terrain, and some feature amazing views – be sure to pick up a map to select a route suited for your skill level. Grassy areas, grills, and pavilions, are perfect for picnicking and a game of frisbee with friends. Take a tour of the Botanic Garden to see the impressive collection of native California plants, including rare and endangered species, or spend an afternoon lounging on the beach at Lake Anza. The park's antique merry-go round with hand carved ponies, steam locomotive, and petting farm are a hit with young kids. There's even a public golf course in the park!

Admission to the environmental education center, botanic garden and petting farm is free, but there is a small fee for the merry-go round, steam locomotive, and admission to the swimming beach at Lake Anza.
